Subject: Cross-ORD Interdisciplinary Post-Doctorial Research Program Applications Accepted until April 24, 2009


U.S. Environmental Protection Agency
Office of Research and Development (ORD)

ORD is accepting applications through April 24, 2009 for several Federal,
four-year, Post-Doctoral positions. Candidates will engage in cross-cutting
research in one of the following identified areas:

- Adaptation to the Effects of Global Climate Change on Water and
Aquatic Systems
- Assessment of the Ecological Effects of Biofuels
- Biostatistical Analysis of Multi-Pollutant Exposure and Relationship
to Effects
- Decision Analysis Improving Environmental Solutions
- Development of Methods to Assess Health Risks Due to Waterborne Pathogens
- Linking Exposure and Effects Models: An Integrated Toxicology Approach
- Predictive Modeling of Developmental Toxicity
- Regional Impacts of Climate Change on Water Availability and Ecosystem

Mentors will be assigned from appropriate ORD Labs and Centers based upon the
nature of the cross-ORD interdisciplinary research.

- Salary range of $56,411 - $87,893
- Full four-year appointments
- Paid relocation to EPA duty location
- Vacation and sick leave
- Federal health benefits, life insurance, and retirement program
- Travel to professional and scientific meetings
- Flexible start date in 2009

- Letter of recommendation from your research advisor or comparable official
- Cover letter indicating:

- summary of relevant experience, and
- a paragraph describing the research you would like to conduct
- DD-214, if claiming veteran's preference
